The International Symposium on Equatorial Aeronomy (ISEA) is held once in every three to four years. Researchers from the fields of atmosphere, ionosphere and magnetosphere science come together in ISEA to share new results, discuss the current state-of-the-art, and identify promising topics for future research. The 17th International Symposium on Equatorial Aeronomy was held in Liberia, Costa Rica from February 9 to 13, 2026.
The venue for ISEA 17 was the University of Costa Rica – Guanacaste Campus (Sede de Guanacaste), located at Barrio El Capulín, Liberia, Guanacaste, Costa Rica, along National Route 21, just minutes south of downtown Liberia.
