Yellow Fever Vaccination Requirements
Costa Rica requires proof of yellow fever vaccination for travellers arriving from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission. The vaccine should be administered at least 10 days before arrival and documented on the original physical International Certificate of Vaccination (“yellow card”). Digital proof (photos, scans, PDFs, or mobile apps) is not accepted by Costa Rican immigration authorities. Travellers who do not meet the yellow fever requirement may be denied entry by immigration.

Transportation
We plan to provide transportation from San José to Liberia for participants flying to San José. To help us organize transportation from San José to Liberia, we kindly ask all participants who need transportation to provide the following information:
- Date of arrival in San José
- Exact time of arrival
- Flight number (if available)
Please send this information to isea17@iap-kborn.de by the end of January 2026. This will allow us to coordinate shuttles and ensure smooth transfers for everyone who requests this service.
Participants travelling from the US may fly directly to Liberia.
We also plan to provide transportation to/from the Venue from/to Liberia at these points:
- Hotel Boyeros
- Parque Mario Cañas Ruiz
Other means of transportation to the Venue are: taxi, rented cars and public transportation. Additionally, frequent flights are available from San José to Liberia via SANSA.
