Events

Kühlungsborn, 5 June 2026 – How can current research be communicated in a way that is understandable, engaging and exciting? This is the question addressed by the science communication competition “Rostock’s 11”, which will take place next week at the IAP.

At the event, PhD students and postdocs from various research institutions in Rostock will present their research topics to a jury comprising journalists, science communicators and representatives from the education sector. The aim of the competition is to present complex scientific content in a way that is understandable and interesting to a wide audience.

The IAP is also represented this year with a contribution. We are delighted to be part of this special event and, together with the other participants, to highlight the importance of good science communication.

For the first time, “Rostock’s 11” will be streamed live on YouTube. Anyone interested can conveniently follow the presentations online and gain fascinating insights into the region’s diverse research landscape.
