  Welcome to Kühlungsborn
Dear colleagues and friends,

On behalf of the international steering committee of the MST workshop series it is the great pleasure of the local organising committee (LOC) to invite you to the MST13 workshop. The thirteenth in this series will take place in Kühlungsborn from March 19 -23, 2012.

The MST workshop series is special in that it encompasses scientists, engineers, technical experts, theoreticians, students, all united in one forum for MST radar studies. Previous workshops have been held in such diverse locations as India, Peru, the USA, Europe and Canada.
Although the workshop focuses on MST (Mesosphere-Stratosphere-Troposphere) radars, contributions from related areas are welcome. These could include, for example, collaborative studies involving radars and other instruments such as lidars and in-situ studies and relevant theoretical developments.
Papers will cover the atmosphere from the ground to the ionosphere, with some emphasis on the Mesosphere-Stratosphere-Troposphere. Tropospheric studies include meteorology. Other areas of interest include special topics like meteors, lightning, sprites, layering phenomena, clouds, waves, tides, numerical forecasting, nowcasting, etc.

We invite an expression of your interest to participate in this workshop.
We anticipate that the workshop will have about 150 attendees.

The brand-new Upstalsboom Hotelresidenz is a superb meeting place. It offers all modern facilities in a Baltic Sea resort.

Welcome to Kühlungsborn !
