The PaT (Particle Trap) is a simple particle detector designed to probe existence and stratification of meteor smoke particles. It consists of slat electrodes in an open box biased at +/- 3.9 V. The instrument is mounted on the side of the payload with slats parallel to the spin axis. Currents between the electrode slats and the payload ground are measured with a typical sensitivity of 1 pA.
