Our research activities can also help to improve the capabilities of certain individuals or organizations. These activities are either motivated by us or they are requested. An example of the latter is the training of radio frequency users of the Juliusruh ionosonde data and forecasting values. Such activities are conducted at least three times a year in different parts of Germany.

In recent years, IAP research activities are being expanded to other countries. Particular to those countries were observing infrastructure are difficult to install, and therefore there have been important observational gaps. To complement our technological developments and infrastructure that allow such installations, we conduct in presence (locally or at IAP) or virtual training of local partners (individual persons or institutions) that help us operate and maintain such systems. Depending on the interest and capacity of the local partners, some of them might contribute also to our research.
