Cross-departmental Collaborations

Collaboration between departments is one of the keys at IAP to contribute with significant advances in middle atmosphere research. In this page, we highlight some of the recent activities in this direction. Some of these activities have evolved from formal planning (see for example list of projects and publications), while other have resulted from the informal interactions of scientists driven by interesting problems.

Two of the research topics that have been productive from a publication point of view are:

• Topic: "Stratified turbulence" (6 publications since 2018)
• Topic: "Noctilucent clouds and mesospheric radar echoes" (8 publications since 2018)

In addition to publications, several

have involved the participation of more than one department.
