Abstract:

Airglow imaging is a unique tool for visualizing the two-dimensional structure of atmospheric gravity waves propagating in the mesopause region. We specifically focus on observational studies of small-scale gravity waves with horizontal wavelengths less than 100 km. In this presentation, I will introduce the development of cost-effective airglow cameras and establish a multi-site network using these devices.
