Open Day 2023: A successful event

On 13th May 2023, IAP opened its doors. The general public could have an insight on ongoing research and could experience the working model of the institute.

The event was very popular and attracted almost 700 visitors from the city of Kühlungsborn and the nearby region. The scientific departments of the institute set up several stations and experiments for demonstrating and explaining the scientific research and its importance for society. The visitors were very enthusiastic to learn about Radars, Lidars, Rockets, Weather-Balloons, and Numerical Models. The event was child-friendly with many opportunities to have hands on experiences with various age-appropriate experiments.

The event was a large success for both the visitors and our colleagues.
